Francisco specialises primarily in competition law, advising clients on merger control proceedings, with a particular focus on the financial, healthcare and energy sectors.
Throughout his career, he has represented companies in investigations conducted by the Competition Authority, notably in matters relating to hub-and-spoke practices, the exchange of commercially sensitive information and non-poach agreements, including at the litigation stage, before national courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union. He also has experience in providing legal advice to public bodies on State aid matters, including their representation in court.
In the Life Sciences sector, he provides legal advice to various industry players, including innovative and generic pharmaceutical companies, distributors, importers and healthcare providers, supporting their regulatory and operational activities, as well as representing them in disputes with public and private entities.
