Margarida s a member of the firm's Criminal Law, Misdemeanours and Compliance team since September 2025.

Before joining MFA Legal, Margarida worked as a lawyer in the Internal Control Team of the ‘Recuperar Portugal’ Mission Structure – Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), performing duties in the areas of prevention, verification and correction of situations of fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest and double financing, analysis of public procurement procedures, management of the Whistleblowing Channel and other functions related to Compliance.

​Previously, Margarida joined SRS Legal, working in the areas of criminal litigation, administrative offences, civil litigation and arbitration. 

 

Margarida also practised law, with consolidated experience, particularly in the areas of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure and Administrative Offences Law.

She began her professional career at BAS – Sociedade de Advogados, R.L., as a summer intern and later as a trainee and then joined Albuquerque & AssociadosSociedade de Advogados, R.L.
