Catarina is a lawyer in the firm's Tax practice area, with extensive experience in resolving tax disputes and tax litigation - both in the judicial/arbitral and administrative phases - as well as in monitoring tax inspections, representing a significant number of national and multinational companies, as well as individual clients, in all types of taxes.

Catarina is also a member of CAAD's list of arbitrators (tax arbitration), a collaborator at NOVA's research center - Tax Research Lab, a correspondent for the IBDF - International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (Netherlands) for Portugal and an author for O Informador Fiscal and for EContas, a magazine dedicated to Tax issues, part of Advocatus.

  • Before joining MFA, Catarina worked with SRS Legal in the tax practice area, having previously worked for Garrigues Portugal, adding up to more than ten years of professional experience.

  • She is the author of several articles on tax issues and regularly collaborates with various platforms dedicated to this area of expertise, namely Nova Tax Research Lab, O Informador Fiscal and IBFD, with the following recent publications standing out:
