MFA Legal & Tech announces the strengthening of its team with the appointment of Francisco Marques Azevedo as Senior Associate and Clara Nolasco Lamas as Consultant. Both lawyers will bolster the Technology, Innovation and Regulatory practice, joining the IP Litigation & Life Sciences team under the leadership of partner Patrícia Paias.
With established careers in regulated sectors, the two new lawyers bring complementary skills to MFA. Francisco Marques Azevedo joins from Sérvulo & Associados, bringing extensive experience in EU Competition Law and Life Sciences, focusing on handling complex litigation and regulatory matters. Clara Nolasco Lamas, who has been with GPA Advogados for the past two years, strengthens the team with her specialisation in compliance and regulation in the financial sector, combined with her practice in Intellectual Property and Life Sciences.

Francisco Marques Azevedo (Senior Associate) holds a degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and he is currently completing his LL.M. at the same institution. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Competition and Regulatory Law (IDEFF) and Pharmaceutical Law (IURIS). With extensive experience in the health and energy sectors, he has represented companies in investigations by the Competition Authority and in litigation before national courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union. In the Life Sciences sector, he provides specialist support to pharmaceutical companies, distributors and healthcare providers.
Clara Nolasco Lamas (Consultant) holds a degree from the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University and an LL.M. in European and International Economic Law from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Munich) and is a member of the Portuguese-German Association of Lawyers. She focuses her practice on Intellectual Property and Life Sciences, and also has significant experience advising clients on banking and financial compliance matters. Before joining MFA, she worked in the Compliance team at GPA Advogados.
