MFA Legal & Tech strengthens its team and launches a VAT and Indirect Tax practice

We are delighted to announce that Rita Simão Luís has joined MFA Legal & Tech as Counsel.

With Rita’s arrival, we are formally establishing a practice group dedicated to Indirect Tax, focusing on VAT, Customs and Sectorial Contributions, which Rita will coordinate alongside Bárbara Miragaia.

Having worked at VdA and Allen & Overy, and having served as Deputy and, on an acting basis, Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State for Tax Affairs, Rita combines extensive professional experience with a strong academic background, having obtained an LLM in taxation from the Catholic University and contributing regularly to the IBFD.

Rita’s appointment and the creation of the indirect taxation practice reflect MFA Legal & Tech’s ongoing commitment to specialisation and to strengthening our ability to address highly complex issues and transactions, offering a distinctive and strategic service to our clients.
