MFA Legal & Tech at the Fair Trials LEAP Annual Conference 2026

MFA Legal & Tech attends the Fair Trials LEAP Annual Conference in Athens this week (6–7 February). Our firm will be represented by Inês Almeida Costa and Rui Costa Pereira.

Supported by the European Union, this year’s theme — “Humanizing Criminal Justice” — invites the attendees to look beyond procedures and institutions.

In a landscape where judicial independence is under increasing pressure, we will explore how justice systems can truly serve people by recognising human dignity and individual needs, amplifying marginalised voices and developing international standards for fairness and equality.

As the global criminal justice watchdog, Fair Trials plays a vital role in campaigning for reform, supporting strategic litigation, and building partnerships between lawyers, activists, and academics.
