MFA Legal's strategy for promoting innovation and excellence is based on strong connection with academia.
In line with this, we are delighted to announce that MFA Legal is one of the partners of the 4th Annual Conference of the NOVA Tax Research Lab, organised by CEDIS - NOVA School of Law, to be held on 9 and 10 October. Under the theme "Taxing, Fast and Slow. A new era in International Taxation", this event will set the agenda for 2025 in terms of international taxation.
The conference will bring together a panel of excellence, composed of academics, professionals and institutional representatives from the OECD and the Tax Authority itself. Under discussion will be the UN Framework Tax Convention and Global Tax Governance; the future of taxation of the digital economy and the implementation of the Two Pillars in matters of taxation and international cooperation.
Our managing partner, Samuel Fernandes de Almeida, will moderate the panel "The United Nations Framework Convention and Global Tax Governance" on 9 October, together with Susana Pinto from NOVA Tax Research Lab.
